How to make $2,300 scamming ebay users.. Legally.

I was actually considering doing this. Create some stupid domain, put some adsense and shit on it, blackhat some traffic, create some 'income proof' pages and selling on ebay.

The ebay listing says:

If you pay for 50 clicks estimated at a total of $21.00 and get only 25 visitors to submit their e-mail that's a $49.00 profit! With 25 people submitting their e-mail address from the website each day you will make over $2000 that month! The best thing about it is that once the visitor enters their e-mail address you're paid instantly!

$21.00 spend giving me 50 clicks means I spent 0.42 cents per click. If I get 25 visitors to submit their e-mail, 25 x 1.40 = 35.00.

Given those figures, that's a $14.00 profit. 14 x 30 days in a month = $420.00 in one month.

$35 - 21 = 14.00 net. How the hell does 25 conversions (1.40 signup) equate to 49.00??

That wasn't too hard; maybe I don't feel too bad for the sellers after all....

can this come back and bite the seller in the ass in terms of "not being legit"?

or is it "legal" since its pretty much selling a landing page lol

Ouch! Almost as bad as some sellers selling >PR4 Websites that go back to 0 on the next update

wow, sometimes for fun I browse ebay for high priced websites for sale. Atleast 95% are totally fraudulent with fake revenue, fake traffic and etc. There are basically no buyer rights on paypal when it comes to websites. I agree it's buyer beware and they will learn an expensive lesson.

The seller just better watch out for judge judy. She no likey the ebay scammers (plus she says she doesn't understand all that "internet stuff".)

I thought about doing something like this ( I know it's being done by many right now)...

Set up a "PPC Search engine" where every result is a CPC affiliate link.

Get a bunch of domains and set up LPs that point to the main search script.

Sell for a price that is just low enough to cover listing, domain reg, etc. costs. The more you sell, the more inbound links you have, but more importantly, the more people you have looking at the auction, checking the site and clicking the paid links.

If you price them right, and make your terms clear so they don't come back crying about a refund, then you are essentially getting free exposure.

Another twist to this would be to use a reseller account or dedicated server to set up a "Web Host" that charges, say, $9.99 per month. It's your server, so you can provide as many or as little features as you want.

In the auctions you could say:
" the first month of hosting is free, but after this month, it is $9.99. The site is hosted by [insert your "Web Host" here] and after you win the auction, I'll send you a link where you can log in and add your payment details."

You just effectively forced your service onto another unsuspecting "customer". You may think this is a bit unscrupulous, but it is no different from the tactics used by other small companies, such as AT&T, Microsoft, Wal-Mart.

The thing about the hosting, though, is that most people who buy into this probably don't know a whole lot about the "internets" and are not gonna care where it's hosted.

The downside to this is that if you are running the host, even if you have CPanel, you may get a lot of support mails that ask you things like "if I mail you some pictures, can you put them on my site?" and "someone told me my site is not getting hits. can you put some hits on my site?"

Not a bad plan, if you accept and understand the crap that comes with it. But doesn't everything these days come with a certain amount of crap?

Those stats are fake, look at this other landing page he's selling for a clickbank product Established Weight Loss Website Business For Sale - eBay (item 140195344086 end time Jan-10-08 21:00:00 PST)
and here is the so called proof ClickBank Sales
notice where it has the total it says "$241,74" when its suppose to be "$241.74", he put a comma instead of a period. It seems so easy to scam people like this, I'm sure you'll get a lot of angry emails asking "where the fuck are the sales at? I'm not getting any!"

its kinda obvious that his stats are fake look at his ps3 one his ctr is like 100% lol

although i do admit he has some nice looking landing pages lol
