How to sell products through Aweber

Hi guys,

Here is my situation. I am using Aweber to do my email marketing and I have been getting subscribers to my newsletter. I want to promote a digital product that people can purchase and download. How do I set this up? Does Aweber do this for you or do I just create a link to my paypal account and have it set up through paypal? What steps do I need to take to make this possible and to also product my document so people can't pass it on.

aweber is an email delivery service only. you cant sell anything directly through them.

if you're going to sell a digital product you should look into clickbank, they handle all the processing, refunds and payment to you. upload your finished pdf or whatever to their system, choose a price and put in your payment details. easy as it gets.

there's really no way to protect your document so people can't pass it on. you can password protect it, change the file's location on your server every week or whatever but if people want it they will get it.

by the way, google could have answered all of these questions, use your brain.
 
eJunkie FTW for what you're looking to do.

It sounds like eJunkie will be your best bet to start with. For just $5 a month (For up to 10 products.) you can have them serve your file to buyers. You can still use PayPal or any other merchant checkout.

eJunkie will keep the file on their sever with password protection. You can setup parameters like how long the password is good for and such. They will get the PWD at the time of purchase and eJunkie will also mail the PWD & DL link to them.

If they forget the password or lose the link they can retrieve it through eJunkie.

$5 to try it out would be money well spent for what you are looking to do.

As AffAholic said, you will NOT stop all piracy, but you can limit it. eJunkie is a reasonably priced solution.

Just realize and ACCEPT that your products will get stolen and distributed freely. Do what you can within reason to make it more difficult. (Most people are lazy.)

Then just keep doing business.
 
It allows companies to start selling their products without an additional monthly cost for all uses, all inclusive shopping cart systems available. If as a company, you have already acquired PayPal and Aweber so you do not need anything else. Its fact that it isn't the absolute most secure system, but it will for many a company. PayPal allows you to create Buy Now buttons on your site, you can link to the e-mail to a single Aweber list.
 
Be sure to use one free research aid, set up a throw-away email account and subscribe to a bunch of competitors email lists to learn how they organize things and pick up some copywriter tips.
Aweber is a bitch about negative feedback, just a few complaints can get your account trashed, treating your customers like family might be a good policy.
