I have my own website setup, not an affiliate site/campaign. I want to try some mailing and need to track conversions since I'm going to split-test different e-mail messages/variations.

I would like to use prosper but the thing with prosper is that I need to be able to append a subid to my url, how can I set this up on my own site? I know how to do it for aff marketing campaigns since the network has it setup but, not sure how for my own site.

or can Google Analytics or something else give you a unique url to test for each campaign?

any suggestions?

thanks

so you want to track when someone fills out a form?

place a pixel on your "thank you" page...if you dont know how to do that read the p202 forums.

your question didnt totally register with me but i believe that is the solution.

good luck!

ok so i just need to setup the pixel? my site isn't completed yet so i cant' test it fully but, i setup prosper and setup 2 campaigns one, "email1" and one, "email2" and when i go to the links, in the stats it reports which link got the click, so i'm hoping if i put the pixel on the 'thank you' page then it will be able to let me know which link converted?

hmm ok, good its better you design your site with this in mind from the ground up.

am i hearing you correctly? basically you have a landing page with a form and you need to track when someone filled it out? are there multiple forms?

if yes...
you can place 2 pixels on thankyou.php and thankyou1.php...OR use the same pixel and just create two separate campaigns like you said and use two different tracking links.

actually if i have this right, your not going to need to do conversion tracking or place the pixel. if you embed the tracking url into the submit button, thats your conversion right there. in this case, a click is a conversion - provided all fields are filled out.

if you know what your doing it will all figure itself out.

protip: (just what i do) instead of putting different PPC accounts in the PPC section, you can seperate everything by niche. for instance in mine i have leadgen, dating, and surveys. it really helps sort everything out when you are looking at big picture stuff at the end of the month.

nevermind i guess there wasn't anything special i had to do, prosper is tracking the clicks and leads. i thought i needed a special system setup to appen =subid? to my links for the tracking to pass to the database but, it seems i don't have to, it does it on it's own. maybe it's since i dont need to track keywords, seems it will work fine for what i need it for.
