I wanted to try and advertise an offline business on adwords, ysm, fb, etc. I don't think it will be successful, but I wanted to try it out and see what happens. It's an electrician business that does commercial and residential work. Obviously I would be targeting people that is around the area. But I'm just confused on how to track between the people clicking on ads online compared to the ads offline. The electrician business has a few ads around town and in papers. They also get calls from people that don't see the ads. If I would put ads online then here is where the calls/emails would come from:
1. Ads around town/newspaper/yellowbook
2. People that suggested to use them.
3. Online - adwords, ysm, fb, etc.
The only thing I could think of is getting a different phone number for the landing page when people click ads from adwords. I would say a different email, but I'm going to have a phone number listed on the landing page and there is a good chance they will call that number instead of emailing. Another idea is to mention on the landing page to say they saw the ad online when they call, but there is a good chance people will forget and not mention it when they call.
