OK, this is my new niche newbie question. I'd like to get a clue before I put any time into researching.

Has anyone played around with the "outdoor" niche for affiliate marketing? (Not like hunting a fishing, but climbing, biking, snowboarding etc...)

If so, do you find affiliate commissions high enough to make any money on physical goods, and do the info products sell??

Unfortunately I'm not doing anything in that niche and I can't help you on that. But I can still (maybe) give you some advice on the website in your sig... that blatant affiliate link for Beating Adwords is not nice at all.
 
There is money to be made in almost every niche. If somebody is killing a niche they certainly aren't going to tell you that.

Test it yourself, and you will answer your own question.
