Html validation, wordpress and google score

Don't get too hung up on validation... some self proclaimed experts will say that if you're 100% valid you'll rank better. Possibly this could be true. I reckon it plays a very minor part in ranking, keep in mind a large percentage of the sites on the interweb aren't valid code and Google doesn't seem to care/have a problem indexing and ranking those, so don't loose sleep over it. Plus I've struggled to get wordpress themes validated if they are broken. Best bet is to start with a 100% valid theme in the first place. If it fails validation, to hell with it. Chuck enough quality links at the site and it'll rank regardless.
