Looks pretty awesome. Never heard of the book before. Woody actually does show up in the trailer for about .5 seconds.
where ... some how... everyone still has all their teeth and they sparkle like pearls and no one is scarred or unattractive?
My girlfriend read these. Then I had her watch Battle Royale, and she determined that there are too many similarities for it to not have been "very inspired" by (ripped off of) Battle Royale.
If anyone needs the books for Kindle I have all of them. I haven't read them yet though >_>. I have the .mobi's so PM meh

I wonder how graphic the movie will be and will it have silly looking CGI for those crazy bee hyrbid things.
I would love to see Enders Game made into a movie. Also Neuromancer, the matrix was based somewhat but I did read something about Bruce Willie and Neuromancer recently can't find the link.
The MIT Busting vegas book was cool but the movie totally sucked they left out some of the coolest parts and the casting was retarded. The head security guy chasing them was European not black...

After years of dicking around with directors and rewrites it looks like they are really moving forward with the movie. went into casting a couple of months ago. Being directed by Gavin Hood and being written by kurtzman and orci, supposed to be out in 2013 if the world is still here.
Oh, you're right (1:48). I didn't recognized him because 1) he looks kinda young here (how old his he now??) and 2) He's supposed to look kinda messy and haphazard as he supposed to be kind of a grouchy old drunk. 3) He was being nice (see #2)
I believe you mean the book. Yeah this actually happens alot. Same happened with with the Harry Potter series.
Here's my thoughts: I don't care. There are very few original ideas and you get where you get by standing on the shoulders of giants.
The only thing that ever pisses me off is when people lie about it. Why don't they ever say "Yeah I was a huge fan of Battle Royale, it's what inspired me to create Hunger games... but with my own evolution of the story I wanted to take the character of blah blah to blah blah, instead of blah blah, the protagonist needed to be blah blah blah..." It would pretty much be a non event if they did that.
