Hurricane Sandy - Still Time for a 2012 Apocalypse!

I live 3 miles from the Deleware River in PA. Last time we had a big storm it cost billions in damages. This one is going to be double the amount of rain. My favorite bar is right on the river. Oh please don't hurt my favorite bar.

Wishing East Coasters the best of luck.

(as I sip my umbrella drink on a San Diego beach in 85 degree sunshine)

This is my homage to Lukep :)

Hurricane party!

I'll pay anyone $100 that will make a video running around for 10 minutes in winds of 90MPH+ in a parachute-like windbreaker suit ........ I'd like to make a viral video called "Flying Squirrel Man"

Power went off on Monday night, just came back on about 2 hours ago. Had a decent-sized Douglas Fir right next to my house fall down - thankfully fell away from the house. It pretty much summed up to a 30 hour camping trip. My kids had a pretty fun time with all things considered.

It's crazy - I have power but the traffic lights around my house and even the local grocery store/home depot are still on generator power.

I'm about 15 miles outside of Philadelphia (PA) and got some wind, some rain, but nothing too drastic luckily. There's a river behind my place and it rose a couple feet but there was barely any damage anywhere locally. Couple downed trees, good amount of people out of power, but that's about it. I felt lucky!
