But thank you for choosing such a nice color scheme for WF!

I just bought a new laptop last week, and it has an insanely ultra-bright glossy screen. Its almost blinding. Before I got this, I had a Sony Vaio with TruBrute technology, which is also insanely bright...

It's really nice for many things, but when you are staring at a big white space for awhile it gets to be a bit ridiculous.

So thanks for using the grey... Its easy to read, and easy on the eyes...

I use a similar color scheme for Vista and Firefox...

When I go to a web site, I WANT TO READ THE CONTENT. Trust me, that micro-font everyone uses isn't nearly as original as they think. I've chosen a black background for most of my text because it's easier on the eyes than staring at a white screen. Think about it: your monitor is not a piece of paper, no matter how hard you try to make it one. Staring at a white background while you read is like staring at a light bulb (don't believe me? Try turning off the lights next time you use a word processor). Would you stare at a light bulb for hours at a time? Not if you want to keep your vision.

I prefer white on dark (Linux shell = white on black) and I have a shortcut that turns any page into white on black with javascript embedded in a Firefox shortcut. Handy when you come across some shitty site with medium or light grey on white or beige, or some other stupid color combination that's horrible to use.

If anyone's curious:
Code:
javascript:(function(){var newSS, styles='* { background: black ! important; color: white !important } :link, :link * { color: #0000EE !important } :visited, :visited * { color: #551A8B !important }'; if(document.createStyleSheet) { document.createStyleSheet(%22javascript:'%22+styles+%22'%22); } else { newSS=document.createElement('link'); newSS.rel='stylesheet'; newSS.href='data:text/css,'+escape(styles); document.getElementsByTagName(%22head%22)[0].appendChild(newSS); } })();
Copy and paste that into the "location" section of a new shortcut in Firefox. Click it, and the page you're on instantly changes colors to be extremely high contrast. It changes links and text and background.

Holy crap. Awesome Supergeek!

Similar to the javascript bookmark that removes all the redirects from porn sites for me
