mikerowesoft.com was on the verge of getting sued big time, but then there were a big case around it, supporting the little teenage guy, and became a PR nightmare for microsoft. Then they settled by offering him xbox360 and a few games as well as some microsoft course. LOL.
it wasn't even a breach of trademark, the guys birth name was mike rowe, and he added soft at the end which made it phonetically sound like microsoft. That was enough to get the MS lawyers pursuing him.
Poor kid had a very large community around it, he was a MS software coder, may have had some linux ties as well which pissed MS off.
Anyway MS eventually got the domain and it now rediretctos to microsoft.com, and mike rowe probably lost his user base.
