There's a thread like this aimed at him every 6 months or so.
 
I remember asking for some designs from him awhile back because he posted a thread in the BST. I asked him on aim and he never gave me his paypal to begin work. Then all of a sudden he stopped logging on aim and WF. Oh well.
 
Funny thing is that he is so fucking talented... if only he gets his business sense in order he can be so successful.

What kind of work did you do? It's why I require payment upfront before I take on any clients.
 
I always insist on 50% payment up front, even as a customer. I pay by PayPal so I could probably dispute it if something went wrong, but that insistence makes people more honest.

No kidding. Dude makes some of the best layouts I've ever come across but also happens to be one of the most unreliable designers I ever worked with.

I like tyler but I have to agree with LordB. Girlscouts have more business sense than he does and I tell him that every time I talk to him along with some hard advice on how to fix it, but like all good business men he doesn't listen.
