Long time lurker here. I have a men's fashion blog and $50 in my paypal account: what would be the best way to invest this $50 in my blog in order to increase traffic or make a greater financial return?

If I were in your shoes, I would put it all into Mediatraffic. There you can get dirt cheap pop up and pop under ads with a great targeting system. From there, I would use free hosting to make as many different types of campaigns as possible on media traffic. After getting accepted into an affiliate network of course, so you can have ads. Here with just $50 you have gotten all of the basics for learning your ropes. You have now created multiple campaigns and created multiple landing pages, helping you with your design and adwriting. You have learned how to use your affiliate network, and how to set up hosting. You have learned how clicks, conversions, ads (and the list goes on) all work, first hand. Who knows, maybe you will get lucky and make a conversion. This will likely take a complete beginner at least a month. With all your new knowledge and experience, you can think of a better strategy as to what you should do with your next $50 that you save up. All of that experience is worth way more than $50.

Isn't the minimum amount $200 for funding in mediatraffic? lol

Step 1: Grab gun
Step 2: Apply to the side of the head
Step 3: Pull the trigger

Problem Solved.

Ok, assuming I can get more money, what's another good build links service besides Mediatraffic?

buy half a pair of oakleys?

its business man. sorry for asking, but are you old enough to work? anyone older than 18 in the US should be able to come up with at least $500 just to get started.

Sorry to hear.

Fuck, I don't even know what the hell I would do if I was looking to start with $50.

I seriously might hit the casino, play some blackjack and see if I could roll it into $500-$1000 and go from there.

I would highly recommend that you get a real job first so that you can pay your bills. Once you can pay your bills, use any leftover monies for internet marketing.

Basically do what I'm doing right now... work a real job, and start building a website around your interests. Write yourself some decent articles for products that you are in to, slap up some big & pretty pictures for the product, then a way for people to buy it. On your website, it's usually pretty cool to have links to multiple stores that sell it, as it gives buyers more purchasing options.

Once you start making money from your awesome product review site, take THAT money and start putting it towards PPC. Experiment with that for a while and see what happens.

From there? No fucking clue. The above is where I'm at right now. Not really making much money at the moment (maybe like $300 a month), but I don't care because I taught myself how to build solid websites with good SEO structure, and have just recently started putting some of those website profits into PPC campaigns.

It's a ride, yo.
