Jumping the gun a little early, are we?

One small step for Jibo... One giant leap for...

Super cool that we are starting to get stuff like this made, but I think this one feels like it misses the mark. It seems like it is basicly a ipad that turn itself around and is way less mobile.

Also its really creepy that it is just a big eye ball. So while I walk around the house this robot eye will always just follow me around the room hoping for me to talk to it, but I wont since my phone does all the same shit.

Inb4 Google InHomeViews and Google Home.

Dem terrorists will have no where to hide soon. Our world is gon b so safe.

Doesn't matter what the video says. Based on the funding amount they're asking for, the fact they're asking for flexible funding (a huge red flag), and promised release date, if by some chance this isn't vaporware or a flat out scam, it'll end up nowhere near the level of polish that is being advertised in their video.

This is the kinda bullshit you'll get with these fuckin' things.

"Jibo, can you please order me fried rice from The Greasy Wok and have it delivered?"

*Sorry, I didn't catch that..*

"Jibo, can you please order me fried rice from The Greasy Wok and have it delivered?"

*Sorry, I'm unable to find a listing for The Greasy Clock, would you like me to Google that for you?*

"No, can you order me a fried rice from THE GREASY WOK and have it delivered"

*Sorry, that feature is unavailable.*

"Ahh fuck it I'll just google it and call them myself"

I'll just post this here.

One of the many such similar comments:
It seems likely this project will kill IndieGoGo. After a couple thousand in donations, this one has guaranteed I will never again donate through them.

This is itching for a class-action. IGG denies responsibility, but they let the founders of this campaign try to fleece contributors for additional funds in spite of the failure to produce ANY evidence of work. IMO, IGG should be working with the authorities to apprehend these people and recover and return these stolen funds to us.

Indiegogo's response to fraud: remove anti-fraud guarantee - CNET

Indiegogo has responded to proof of fraud by removing the section of its website that guarantees it will "catch any and all cases of fraud".

Detailed research on this scam here:
Smarty Ring runs second fundraiser. Allows backers to pay more for confusing upgrade. » Drop Kicker

IndieGogo has not only claimed no responsibility, they went as far as to do absolutely NOTHING to take action against this, and even let them run a secondary campaign, to hustle even more cash out of the backers.

Not long since that, and there's yet another dry-coning from indiegogo, this time with Jibo for a whooping 700k funding in 3 days?

10k per hour? Damn son, that's more cash than Wolf of WallStreet was making!

Grunin and CeoSam should re-brand!

Something was itching at me when I saw that page, but I couldn't figure out what it was. Now that you mentioned the font, it clicked! This is a pretty big fail, since they're claiming to bring cutting edge robotics.

since my phone does all the same shit.

Yeah, exactly. This thing is basically just a motorized mount for an integrated phone/ipad.

It's a bloody toy. Now, if it could move, had arms and could bring me a beer from the fridge, then I would call it a robot.
