Ok, so I've been vacant from internet marketing for the past 5 months while I've been working a J.O.B. Anyway, I just discovered that a small little site I made right before I decided to take a break due to massive failures over and over again has a #3 listing on Yahoo! for a term that, according to the Adwords Keyword tool, had a search volume of 5,400 last month. The site (until JUST recently) had not been monetized at all.
I monetized it with a vertical banner on the left hand side and some adsense ads. Also, the site, for some reason, doesn't seem to rank at all with MSN or Ask, and I don't seem to see it anywhere in the first few pages of Google.
So, since I am still learning and new to this, any input would be appreciated, like how to stay on top of Yahoo!, or why my site doesn't rank with the other search engines, or on how I monetized it.
