Ron Paul made a stop in Charleston, SC yesterday to make several speeches and appearances around town. I was lucky enough to be able to attend not one, but two speeches given by Dr. Paul. I was also able to actually meet him, chat for a couple of minutes, and shake his hand.

His first speech was at the College of Charleston and he spoke for about an hour. After his speech, he agreed to a brief Q&A session.

Now, I recorded the entire speech on video and still had it rolling as Dr. Paul answered a few questions.

Everything was going well until there was time for one last question. Since many of the questions that had already been asked were pretty boring I almost turned off my camera.

I'm glad I didn't. I posted the video here:

Dr. Ron Paul Shows Grace In Spite of Jokester's Obscenity

I'm even submitting this to Digg so, if you feel like it..yeah, I won't ask but you know what to do.

After it was over I walked out of the auditorium and I saw the guy walk past me. I seriously stared him down and thought about calling him an "Idiot" but I saw that I didn't have to - the way he dropped his eyes and scurried away with his tail between his legs made it apparent that he already knew that he was an idiot.

Anyway, here's a couple of pics of me and The Man:

you're on wickedfire and you're calling the word "peed" an obscenity?! Fuck all. This is mock outrage bullshit that is typical in politics today. Paul answered the first two parts and recognized the third part of the question for what it was: a failed attempt at humor... which I see now you address more in your post - but the title is totally baiting.

Then don't read it and move on, pansy. There's a time and a place for that kind of language and addressing a United States Representative isn't one of them.

In the second picture.. it looks like you're trying to shake something OTHER than his hand...

FUCK YOU.
You apparently are the pansy and go all girlie / fanboy when you meet someone of somewhat importance. Grow a pair.

Oh, my he said "peed in the shower!" Oh, my heavens.

If you think there's some special way to address a person of "authority" and can't even ask a goofy question then how are you going to ask the tough questions.

Perhaps it's because I was in the military or perhaps it's because I am from the South, but I don't believe that it's in good taste to ask a classless question like that.

And it's nothing to do with "authority" as I would think that it's rude to do that to anyone giving a "serious" presentation on stage, whether it was a US Representative or a 3rd grader giving a book report.

I may be showing my age, but that's just me.

Agreed, though I'm neither from the south nor ex-military.

That kid that asked that question was just showing that he was a dink, plain and simple. Some people have nothing better to do.

geek - Ron Paul is an idiot! Just because he can get a bunch of idiots to agree with his whacked out views does not a president make. If you think using language that is maybe "off color" with a U.S. rep is bad how about what is said to and about our President?
You need to tone it down a bit and find reality!

Wow, strong hatred for the geek today. Haha. Thanks for profound assertion, Socrates.
