I recently took over marketing, sales and management for a family owned online school that brings in just over 6 figures annually. Recently, we were approved for mycaa funding which would allow military spouses to take the course which the military would pay for in full. I believe once we start marketing this, we will see a lot more business than we are currently.

To be honest, I do not know very much about affiliate marketing, but it seems like it would be a good idea for what I am trying to accomplish. For every Paid in Full person that signed up, I would be able to pay about $250 to the source that referred him or her.
What I am unsure of is
-Tracking- Currently all orders are placed over the phone and I am unsure how to implement something that would tell who sent that prospect.
-Who and how to hire?- Would I have to go through a large affiliate marketing company, or just search the forums and hire individuals?
-Legalities- Would I need to hire a lawyer to draw up a contract, or find some generic template online? What sort of legal problems may arise from something like this?

That's about all I can think of at the moment, am I missing anything? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are in luck. A lot of the big affiliate networks run lots of traffic to offers in house. Some may take you on. They can refine your offer and get you ready to open it up to more solo affiliates.

I know of a couple that have pretty large call centers in house as well. PM me and I will point you in the right direction.

Don't worry about hiring individuals. Unless you know how to send traffic yourself you are ill equipped to manage any people solo. You may get in a world of trouble with the wrong loose cannon promoting your offer by using some really sketchy Army ad copy. Not to mention the card scammers that will prey on you.

There are several ad tracking solutions that should be able to handle you out of the box. CakeMarketing has a good one that would make it easy for you to start taking leads over the web as well as the phone. Definitely look into that.

Yes, definitely hire a lawyer to draw a contract for the deals you do with companies.

Yeah, you can always do leads and sales both. However, most edu offers are leads anyway. You will then need a strong call center followup to convert them into sales.

You are lucky to have the infra in place, you can surely bank hard on this offer alone. good luck.
