Hey, this is my first post on the forum and its about time to.

Anyway I am trying to get started with PPC to CPA offers, I decided that maybe it would be best to use 7search, Looksmart and Ask PPC Networks so that I can direct link and test out various CPA offers and determine which keywords are profitble to build out a website with similar offers.

Here is what I think I understand about PPC so far from reading alot yesterday...

1. Find a high converting CPA offer (contact affiliate manager and ask)
2. Gauge demand of the offer through main keyword and check other relevant PPC ads.
3. Build a keyword list 200-500 minimum probably alot more.
4. Split the keyword list into targetted ad groups
5. Create 2 ads for each ad group to test each ad
6. Use tracking to determine which keywords are converting and which as just wasting my money.

So there you have it this is my impression on what I have picked up so far with a good few hours of reading, I know that there is probably a lot more to it than those 6 steps so I am asking for your help to fill me in a bit more on the blanks.

Also the sticking point that I am at this minute is how exactly do I setup tracking202 so that when I get a CPA lead it tells me which keyword caused the conversion?

Looking forward to hearing your responses,

Many Thanks
Aaron

Nope this is pretty much it lol.

EDIT: as for the tracking202, setup everything as you're creating adgroups etc on PPC platform, then in each ad use the link you got provided. You should probably watch vids on their website.

Gotta say I've lost $100 yesterday on 7search traffic and I won't use it anymore. Got one $1 conversion from it THOUGH!

7 search has got lot's of fake traffic,
one day i got 1000% roi campaign other day i got -1000% roi campaign, luckily i was able to break even,

You pretty much nailed it... except for step 7: get yourself a 0% APR card. There's definitely a learning curve (i.e. you'll most likely lose money at first) so this can really help you weather the storm at first.

As for 202, you'll find all the info you need to set up directly on their site.

Thanks for the comments so far, wow sorry to hear about the 7search campaign maybe I shouldn't use it afterall. Can anyone recommend any more good PPC networks that allow direct linking? Or that would be good for beginner.

Use MSN to start.

Too much junk traffic in the ones you've mentioned. Ask is the worst, they broker all their good traffic to google while delivering junk to direct advertisers. I think they do this to appease big G into allowing their download offers (ask's parent company is behind mywebface/funcards and a whole slew of other shit).

Nways good luck brah.

dont listen to what anyone says about traffic sources.

im profitable on half the ones mentioned in this very thread.

+1 for MSN though

I'd add Azoogle, (I didn't have any trouble signing up after I called them & sounded vaguely sane & businesslike) & EliteClicksMedia to the suggestion list for alternative CPA networks. MSN & Yahoo content probably also worth a look. MSN can be dumb, but at least you can actually speak to someone there if you need help, unlike the great Googlehole.

I'm not in the PPC realm, but from what I've been told 7search is garbage.
