I Want to Make A Site That Looks Very Similar To This Site

I like the look of this site a lot. I found it after looking at sites that use Wordpress that aren't blogs. Just how much effort do you think went into this site? Or, how much should it cost to hire a designer to make? Obviously, I don't want to copy it, but there are many elements that I do like. If you've got any recommendations on who can get this done, please let me know.

If no one from here volunteers, just make a post on GAF (Get a Freelancer) Saying: "I want a site like this xxxx.com "and try to be as specific as possible with what you want and what you don't want.
 
So... you want a single page site with a Jquery/Mootool style auto-scroll? Not really that hard to do, its basically a $('#anchorname).ScrollTo(offset-or-something-like-that); :D

I did something similar here : http://wjgenterprises.us/wjg/ course that version of the site never went live (yet they still have it up) They basically saw some coffee shop site do the same thing (theirs was in MooTools, I used Prototype at the time, and the one you mentioned uses JQuery), and wanted the same thing.

Thanks, it's not even the auto-scroll that I like. It's the color and spacing and font and graphics. So the style. One of my favorite things about it is how the border goes from dark and in the center it gets lighter. Though, I do like the auto scroll. I guess they just had a custom Wordpress design made? I think that's what it looks like when viewing the source and see the theme is named what the company is named.

Well what are you trying to do with this site ultimately? Make it a blog, a company site, scat porn dungeon? That will determine whether you need a CMS or whether you can deal with static. You have to be more specific if you want valuable advice.
 
I want to make a company site. It's hard to say how much traffic the site would get. I plan to also have a company blog. The primary purpose for the main site will be a sales page. I'm sure I will have a terms of service, contacts page, and other standard pages. But the main index will be a sales/informatory page.
 
what does the site have to do with what you posted?


You want the layout and format to be the same? Or what?
 
That's static, so don't complicate it with wordpress. Just go on a freelancer site (odesk, GAF, etc) or post here saying you want a "template clone" of that site, should be able to get a basic xhtml template done without the scrolling for $100-200.
 
i already done many sites like this, now i can made similar type of site in wordpress for you, i much experience in wordpress theme designs. i am so much cheap person. you can think right!!! :)
 
Google HTTrack download it and follow the directions, make sure you change all the elements and content to stay out of trouble.
