All Your Politicals Are Belong To Us!

There have been more and more political threads around here, all basically pointing out the same stuff. It's pretty obvious that most of us don't like either party's agendas and actions; so why don't we end it?

Now this is sort of a hypothetical question, but it would also be interesting to see if people would want to prove it could be done:

If we all had a vote on who to back, together could we get an Internet Marketer into the presidency?

No, I'm not talking about some "tea party" movement that's just going to put in the same type of people under a different name. I'm talking about putting in one of us, an Internet Marketer who actually understands business and could care less about being bought off because they are already rolling in the monies. What's another mil when they already have that coming in per hour in rebills? :p

I personally think it is highly possible. We all have the marketing skills and know how to get shit dominating niches. We have all the contacts in e-mail marketing, social media marketing, etc. Hell, we are the people that the politicians call to promote themselves.

How awesome would it be to prove that without spending any money on TV and Radio, we could win political races just by our awesome skills?

(Oh, and how funny would it be to have the competition's supporters get dickrolled when going to make a donation? I'm sure there's some IM's in countries outside of the US domain that could make that happen :p )

Cause the other canidate is going to follow in a sense of fair play and not use what 80% of the US listens to or watches.

Here's the real question: What do you do when they start putting your old government grants/berry landers on campaign commercials?

Lol, true, but I'm sure we could always Youtube some videos of messages mass promoting statements like this being said:

"My opponent criticizes me for pushing products that some have claimed are scams. I got into this business to change lives. The Acai Berries he claims are scams are sold in stores like Wal-Mart across the county. Does that make Wal-Mart a scammer?"
Then right after, flash an image of the opponent drinking some berries and put a little text bubble reading, "Oh shit, they spotted me" or something equally contradictory to the opponent's message.

Then flash back to a video and say, "I'm just here to clean up their mess, not be a hypocrite."

They didn't know about Youtube, Twitter, or Facebook until they saw how easy it was to spread a message. Once the media picks up on all the buzz about something and starts talking about it on the news, political candidates take notice and are forced to address it.

And it doesn't really matter what the other candidates use to communicate with, we'd be after the people, not them. We could market to most of the US over the Internet and get something started taking off.

Once the movement begins and the news starts giving free publicity, whomever we'd push would be getting free TV spots just like the other candidates.

Government is the scammiest rebill in existence.

Political ads are already worse than flogs, so how could it get any worse?

Have you seen this one, by the way?

Yes they are.

Lol, true. I've never been one to support the whole "bashing" of character that some politicians do. I figure, if you're going to run, tell us what you bring to the table and "exactly" how you plan to help - not just gain support because you are "better" than that other guy and never tell us how.

Have you seen this one, by the way?

YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.

Don't out my Ad dude!

Lol, but I did like that ad, not so much the bashing of character in it, but the creativity. That's one reason it went viral. That's the kind of viral stuff we could put together, and without even having to have a huge advertising budget since there are tons of us who know how to make videos.

In regards to politics, I would really like to see them cap the fund raising part of it. So they are on equal playing field and it's up to their qualifications and merit to make it.

Same budget. Same air time. So it comes down to the person instead of the hype that we normally get in the who's popular, or who can out spend the other.

Horseshit. Fund raising is freedom of speech. Do not like it? Raise money for an opposing issue.

Last thing I want is to have some government jackass decide what kind of speech is "fair enough" to be allowed.

I have no problem with fund raising.

I DO have a problem with some people have more say than others. I also have a problem with corporations being able to donate to campaigns.

I would like to see all campaign contributions have to come from individuals and not be tax deductible.

I used to work in politics for a while running campaigns and got out because the majority of candidates/politicians (both Dems and Republicans) were retarded and only cared about their own political ambitions rather than serving the will of the people and the republic (plus the pay was shit for the hours you worked). That being said, I would love it if some real entrepreneurs were elected into office. I would take any entrepreneur that could run a profitable business.

The main issue is that unless you have an R or a D on your name next to the ballot it is nearly impossible to win. Most voters (who are even more retarded than the politicians) will usually vote straight down the ballot R or D depending on the party they favor.

I would love to say that an election could be won by intelligent online marketing and targeting, but it really cant (at least not yet). People will usually vote for whatever name they remember; that is why you get a shit ton of robo-calls, TV and radio adds back to back before an election or primary. Now I know that is not always the case but when it comes to local, state-wide or congressional races it usually is.

I will say this though, this could be changing with the growth of the tea-party movements. First real "viral-marketing" I have seen in politics.

People will usually vote for whatever name they remember...

It's not dissimilar to how we market now.

As with the Frank Kern pics posted above about his Mass Control system (which you can't really fault him on raking in the cash from the sheep who think it's a new method), if you put a good spin on whatever crap you are pushing, you can create desire. That's how Obama won this last election without really talking about what his product was actually going to offer.

I'm not saying you'd want to lie like just about every other politician, but using effective marketing you can make crap go viral and create insane amounts of desire. It's like creating awesome linkbait. Shoemoney is pretty great about this.

If you did this non-stop for the next two years, whomever we backed would have a quality brand and be ingrained into the people's minds just from all the rage they'd see on the net and from the TV wondering how something like this is happening.

...that is why you get a shit ton of robo-calls, TV and radio adds back to back before an election or primary. Now I know that is not always the case but when it comes to local, state-wide or congressional races it usually is.

Very true.

But most of the robo-calls you get are from online sources. They use VoIP. It'd probably not be too involved to setup a script or bot to make those calls.

I can't tell you how many calls I get a week from some company trying to sell me on their cold-calling service. Usually all it is is a robo-dial. Once someone picks up it will either play a message for someone to punch a number if they want more, or direct to a live person.

I'd vote for Guerrilla, but not for any one of the other lib douchetards that infest this board.
