Would you guys still use landing pages? I'm curious about this in a sense that aside from LPs getting more and more complex to satisfy QS requirements, is there more value in it as well to presell the user to the offer? Or would you guys direct link to the offer page?

I know this can easily be answered by stuff like "test it and you'll see", or "it depends on the niche" but I guess I'm just curious for the sake of discussion as well as be able to hopefully learn different perspectives on LPs that you guys might have - because with the presence of QS, LPs these days can easily be seen as a nuisance rather than a sales mechanism.

how about "QS does matter, so why ask the question?" I'm also not really sure what you what to know?

i think the pre-sell is very important. i went shoe shopping today and they had this display for water repellent. they let you spray a piece of card board with water and see how it worked. i ended up buying. if there wasnt a display. i would never have bought it.

One thing that I don't get yet is that the aff links I've seen lead to the advertiser's landing page, so essentially the user sees two landing pages. Have some of you worked out the ability to take a lead on your pages and then just pass the lead on to the advertiser? I know that products can have deep links that go straight to the shopping cart at the seller. That kind of thing would be cool.

I think that offers that allow you to "pre-pop" basically do what you are asking, but I have never tried it.

(This is addressed to coglethorpe, not the OP)

aim_high thats what i figured as well, but due to QS a lot of people have started to view LPs more as a burden than a means of pre selling, so i was hoping to hear what others had to say of it. kind of like if it were possible to get a QS of ok/good direct linking to offers, would you still use a landing page? because i'm starting to realize it is possible and i'm thinking can LPs really help presell and increase conversions...
