I don't do this anymore so I'll post it here for someone else to try. If you log into somewhere like alibaba.com and post a buying lead you'll get absolutely fuckloads of emails with information on what you're after. e.g. I used to have a crappy blog on socks, and just kept posting leads asking for specific information (e.g. quotes for certain quantities, colour, material etc). That way you don't just end up with a standard form letter so no dupe content. Just cut 'n' paste the text, and maybe the link to the supplier if you're feeling nice, and shove it in your blog or site. Doesn't work well for stuff that isn't being manufactured in china of course.
ot: Did anyone see a programme last night on, I think, BBC4 about fakes? They showed how a factory in china made fake eggs!!!!!!!!!!! The yolk, white and shell were all formulated and manufactured to look like the real thing. Unfortunately it gave people dementia, and scarily some of them may have got into the grey market in the west. Fake bloody eggs!
