Im selling domain name, its a dropped domain name and i just registered it. On achive.org there are some records in year 2001 on this domain.

its: [add-a-site] dot [com]

Can someone suggest how much should i expect from it, it suits directory website or social bookmarking website.
Thanks!

Domains go for cheap on most webmaster forums that i've been on, I can see you getting anywhere from $25 to $50 maybe.

CKM is mostly right. It depends on the domain and depends on the forum, but most domains in resale go cheap unless they have: PR, bancklinks, traffic, or revenue. Some very general niche domains can go for quite a bit as shown by several domains going for $100K+ on Sedo.com right now, but this domain that you've shown doesn't seem to have a lot of potential as far as resale. I'd be surprised to see you get over $20 on most forums. I think you might be better off setting up a site on it and then trying to sell site+domain. Sheeple at DP eat that shit up.

SeoDave is correct....I really don't think that your domain by itself is worth anything significant, you are better off setting up a directory script on it and putting a little effort in gathering some submissions & backlinks ect...then you should be able to turn a little profit when you sell it

The real problem are the dashes, there are very few exceptions to the: dash = worthless (at least for selling, not necessarily for developing) rule.

.com = best TLD
3 words = not worth too much
2 hyphen/dashes = worthless

I don't think you would get anything for this because of the dashes, not even worth reg-fee undeveloped imo.

Ok guys, ill try to setup directory there and put some effort in it. Maybe ill keep it to myself ;)

I found an awesome domain on ebay recently: 38qxyjellybeans28rocket.com. The posting said it was a great brandable domain and I got it for only $250, so I think it's a pretty good deal.
