As much as you hate it, dubstep is here to stay. But I do agree that the current bro-step scene has a lot of emo trend following 'tards with no taste in music.

You are describing the attitude of many of the types he is criticizing. Dubstep isn't played on most radio and has no or few platinum albums. Certain people are attracted to it because they rightly or wrongly view it as a cool new alternative thing. Once dubstep does become mainstream enough, they will then abandon it and move on to the next thing.
