Hey guys / (girls?), interested in finding what you all think is the best bang for your buck when it comes to internet trust symbols.

There are things out there like:
truste - is it just me or does that look like "thruste"
BBB Online
Mcaffe - also know as hackersafe
Trust Guard

SSLs
Versign
GeoTrust
Thawte
rapidssl

I have a site, that it seems my users just don't feel safe putting their social along with the whole shebang into. I want to change that. So I am cutting the crap out of the site and taking the whole site aboveboard and cleaning it up. Its a legit site, but I've used some strategies (targeting longtail seo) that just make it look a little spammy.

Right now I'm with RapidSSL it does the job but does it really have that "trust" associated with it? I don't think so.

So out of the stuff listed above what would you do with your primary "money maker" site?

If I missed something feel to drop a link.

It also makes a difference where the logo is displayed. A while back, an online pet store (I think pets.com) did a study and found sales increase when the hackersafe logo was on the top right vs anywhere else on the page.

Of course, when things like this came out, they abandoned the logo completely.

as seen on abc, as seen on fox news, etc.

Unfortunately this isn't a small affiliate site. Its a loan site which hasn't been featured on ABC or FOX. I would perfer not to get sued, not that it wouldn't be fun and all.

Though these do work for basic affiliate stuff.
