What's average conversation rate for email/zip submit offers?
I'm running iPhone email submit offers for 2 days, organic traffic from google, ~120 clicks and 0 leads.

WTF? Is that normal?

That's not normal... although when you think about it, most people searching for iPhone's right now are tech savvy and normally wouldn't fall for those free offers anyhow.

Once the iPhone is out and mainstream, conversions will lift.

Good point!

Are you mentioning the Zip Submit in the Ad Copy? Also, try something along the lines of: "Get a free iPhone, enter your Zip Code to check for Eligibility" or "Test & Keep an iPhone for Free. Sorry, US Users only. Valid Zip Code needed". My Conversion varies from Network to Network, with Google giving me around a 40% Conversion Rate, while I only get around 5-10% with MSN. Their problem however is the low traffic, if I would just target the keywords I target with Google, I'd be getting like 5 clicks a month. But since I got th e$200 coupon I really don't care all that much at the moment.

Edit, also, I found the Zip Submit to convert better than the Email Submit, and I don't think it's the Email, but rather the landing page. I'd be interesting to test the Email submit with the Zip Submit landing page ..

There's no ad copy :) it's organic traffic through keywords like 'iphone release', 'iphone picture', 'iphone video', etc.

Switched to zip submit. Will see what happen.

I've ran offers like that on my content sites with no hits for ages. I think that is why a lot of people use PPC for CPA. It's easier to get directed traffic for the offer.

If you simply switched the site over, it's not accurate to compare conversions against someone who's targeting users that perform an action to get there (such as clicking an ad). They already know what to expect on the landing page. Someone searching for "iphone pictures" that gets redirected to an offer with no previous notion isn't as qualified as someone who clicks an ad with "free iphone".

It has to be targeting issues or clickfraud. If copeac allows it try promoting the offers via myspace and see if you get higher conversion rates. There is no clickfraud there and you know EXACTLY the kind of traffic your getting. If you still get no conversions maybe the offer blows.

He's not driving traffic through PPC, it's all organic.

Damn I was just looking at MySpace and they had this really slick flash based iPhone ad. This is the landing page. Apparently the ad is from "CPX Interactive" which I've never heard of before. The COPEAC iPhone creatives and landing pages are pretty good, but I think this one is probably converting really well.

ConsumerIncentiveRewards

I wish I could steal their flash ad to use ;)

Thanks, even after reading WF for months I don't really have an idea about this kind of numbers... I guess it has to do with pre-profiling people, because if I only count people from an specific blog it goes to 10% almost.

What are averages then?

(I'm finally doing something right! - should send some boobs to celebrate, but don't want this going off-topic)
