Hey all,

I am planning on starting affiliate marketing big time and I thought that I should start with article marketing - because its free :) Anyway, is it still alive? And is it worth the time?

Regards,

Josh

If you do your research right, target the right keywords and get the user into a buy mood then its profitable, yes. Works only if you consistently submit new, fresh content...

Ahh ok thanks, I'm trying a 60k challenge (earned 60k by 31st December 2010) and im going to try and earn that just by article marketing - is that at all possible? I have created my own products as well - so I feel it should be :)

Article marketing is still very much alive. The key is to find a good website and have really good content, in order to convert a reader. Affiliate marketing can also be used simpy for backlinks to your website, and that could sustain lesser-qulaity content to be effective.

Let me know if I can write an articles for you if you decide to push article marketing in 2010!!

You want to try to incorporate emotional hot buttons in your writing as well. spend some time on forums and get to know what the people in your niche want/need and what emotions have the most consistences. You also might want to check out Travis Sago videos on youtube.com search for bum marketing expert. or use this link to watch all of Travis's videos Click Here to listen to interviews and watch videos. I would recommend using Ezinearticles.com and article base.com when submitting your articles

whenever I do keyword research they tend to always be in the top twenty of Google.

Either that, or you find yourself a way of making your articles stick by backlinking them too !

This requires effort though, so you'll do best with a combination of posting new articles and promoting your old ones... You'll get the hang of it with time ;)
