Has anyone already asked this question? I'm wondering why there are so many MEN Internet Marketers and so few women? Is it just me, or are the numbers really in the men's favor? What do men have that makes them succeed more in IM? Or, are women simply not interested with this specific type of work?

TITS or GTFO

And this is what Big Joe means:

There are plenty of women online making money. I'll give you to a link of a forum owned and run by a Minority Woman and she has some pretty good stuff in there. (It took awhile for me find it in my 65,000 unorganized bookmarks. LOL)

Learn How to Create an Awesome Website and Make Money Online Today! This is one of her sites. You join up for free. Has decent info for someone just starting out.

Website Babble Webmaster Forums This another one of her sites. This site is a little more like a General site to hang out on for Web Marketers.

Then you have this site.......it's a Hodgepodge of Internet Marketing info and "seems" to be MOSTLY run by women. IJdigital Discussion Forum , SEO , Make Money , Online Business , Webmaster Tools

Now, after I've put these links up for you, I'll tell you right here and now, WickedFire is going to be THE BEST resource for you out any online marketing forums, if you can get past all the smart assing going on here. It's OK though, you TOO will go a little stir crazy after awhile of working in this industry and THIS is a great place to come and unwind a little and grab some info as well if want it.

Back to WHY there aren't as many woman online as men. For one thing society gives women Dolls and pampers them. Boys are given Guns and taught to tear things apart then try to rebuild them. Men are risk takers and most women look for safety/security.

Jsut a short little differential in the above paragraph whitout getting into a lot of detail. So, since the two sexes are treated differently men are more inclined to take the RISK of building something online. That and as my woman says, "Geek Speak makes my eyes GLAZE over." She is a Writer and is online about 18 hours a day. But, she could care LESS about programming languages or knowing the difference between FAKE RAID and TRUE Hardware RAID.

Now there are MANY women who have broken from the constraints that society has tried to put on them and they've done WONDERFUL things that have improved the quality of life for EVERYONE.

So, don't be discouraged about the lopsided ratio of Men to Women in this industry.

Stay the course do "your" thing to the best of your ability and DAMN the rest!!

All areas of business and science are dominated by men.

Why?

Because we are designed to be more ambitious in terms of amassing wealth, power and influence.

I don't know how many women marketers there actually are, but I do know that selling products to women is very lucrative, so I'm guessing there are more than a few doing it.

Thanks all for the enlightening posts. You have all answered my questions. I hope to make another thread one day when I'm already successful in IM, and you should know that it was through all your advice that I've done it. :)

I have been surprised at how many women bloggers I have found in certain niches, like cooking. I even know a few that are pretty good at code. As far as the affiliate marketing, it's an acquired taste I guess. Most are probably 100% white hat.

IM is not just for men. I know a lot of women who are into IM. Some have even built their own outsourcing businesses and the men work for them.

It's not for only men, but I agree with you though there are a lot of men who do this for a job, and the woman dont.

Well definitely it is much more related to the men because men are more easy to do be compete with marketing much more then women.During my studies of MBA(Marketing), there were only few limited girls were doing MBA in Marketing. It's because of the mentality as girls don't feel comfortable with Affiliated Marketing which I found and observe their.

Shari: I don't know of any study conducted about gender ratios. However, as others already pointed out, it doesn't matter really. If you are there, you are there.

Midas Touch: Thanks for that link.

Bullfrogs are conditioned by society to be 'go getters'. Certainly there's more pressure on us to attain success and IM is just one of those avenues with which we can reach that objective. Our sense of self-worth is massively attached to our financial/professional achievements so you are more likely to find a bullfrog 'hustling' in IM as opposed to a female frog.
