Is NameCheap Hosting A POS?

I was buying a new shared plan, IP diversity and all of that, and the domain was at NameCheap so I figure - why not. It's just a simple WP site.

But constant errors, reload errors, bad gateway errors. But wait a minutes - re-try and it works fine.

Should I even bother with customer service or just cancel and move to another shared host.

Hey I was just trolling around and saw this.

I have one account with namecheap and will not be renewing it next year. It's constantly flapping around in my Pingdom reports. Great registar but miserable hosts.

Basically same experience as you, but maybe slightly less bad. Stay away.
