Is this really what you want to be doing?

You are all some smart motherfuckers.

Some of the wit and intelligence I've read on this forum in the name of money could probably change the world if it were channeled into other projects for other purposes.

Think about it: you can be anything. Think of all the people that have created the world around you, and ask yourself if they are really any smarter than you are, to paraphrase a smart man. Everything that you see around you, could have been created, expressed, or experienced by you.

And yet, you chose this life.

You chose IM. Some of the people on this forum have the intelligence and work ethic to create $10k/m businesses from the seat of their pants, with no one telling them what to do or what time to clock in or what tie to wear or any of that road-most-traveled shit. The kind of thing that would make anyone at a cocktail party seethe with jealousy (although no one would admit it). And with all that capacity, you've chosen to spend your time here, as an internet marketer.

Is this really what you want to be doing? If it's not, why haven't you gotten the fuck up and did that other thing instead?

Laziness. Pure laziness. Also, bad traits such as excessive drinking, gambling, etc... I can honestly say that the idea of someone ordering me to work is one of the most unpleasant ideas that I can fathom, therefore I haven't bothered to look for a job in over 6 years and STILL make more than I would getting a shit job.

I know and have seen people make $40,000+ per month ** month online without doing much (people I know on a first name basis) and I KNOW the only difference between me and them is:

1. More time (fuck i hate having to finish this degree but I must).
2. More drive (working on being more efficient).
3. More money (I'll get there).

With those things, the sky is the limit, as with anyone else. Things always get better if you have a master plan - and they will.

For all of its shit-flinging facade, there are a lot of hustlers here who are making a lot out of life. It's not so bad here, I have met a lot of quality people.

Despite what you think its not all about the money in IM. Sure we like to flaunt it but what we're really flaunting is the freedom. Freedom from the 9 to 5 rat race, freedom from the slavery of the working man, freedom to plan our work around our lives, not our lives around our work.

Any one of us could sell our time (the most valuable asset any of us has) for more money but there comes a point where more money doesn't do shit to improve your life.

Affiliate marketing should be viewed as a cashcow, not a sustainable business. One year ago I finally transitioned out of AM into other industries that are much more sustainable and I know will be around in twenty years.

ditto that

I hated, hated, hated, hated my 9-to-5 ball & chain job. Would never want to go back to that existence again.

Am I reading that right. Per month you say? Perhaps you are making estimates of the smart people that are off by two decimals. Perhaps that answers your questions as to the why?

Personally I agree we should join forces. Fission baby, FISSION

I couldn't imagine anything else at the moment. I dropped out of school thinking I was going to build the "next big thing." I ended up procrastinating for years, going homeless twice, and just recently lost my best friend.

It isn't that I couldn't go to school and land a great paying job. I just want freedom to explore, I am my business. So whatever I do I will make money doing it, but when I do something I want passion and curiosity to be there.

Most of my online money goes right back into growing this business, but a portion goes into buying educational material to not only extend my knowledge but build something that I can sell in the future.

Recently I've hired a tutor to learn a new language. She not only taught at a college level but I'm paying her half of what she normally charges. She's raising money for her daughters 16th. Paying for my education myself maximizes the value and creates better retention in my opinion. I feel like knowledge and wisdom are the best currencies to have.

Started IM just for the money honestly. Now that I have it, I'm just trying to figure out what my "other" thing is going to be. Unlike a lot of guys here, I honestly don't enjoy marketing much ... at least not marketing online. I realize now I did it all just for the money. I hate being in front of the computer and these days it seems like the only time I'm really happy is when I'm doing something else IRL.

I am doing exactly what I want to be doing. I'm building awesome stuff with AI, selling those products, and reinvesting that money into things that are even more awesome and more ambitious.

Every day I think about what my dreams and goals are in life, and everyday I work hard to make sure that my actions are moving me closer to reaching them.
