CPAEmpire just called me to let me know they're inactivating my account, I'm not to concerned as they generally suck as a network, but still. The reason I was inactivated was because I was using a site with a poll and pictures of women to get zip/email submits. On the site it states to please help keep the site free, vote and enter your zip, etc. Now it gets a little dark, BUT I confirmed this with my AM before I ever did it.. basically, I had a note on there stating if you entered your zip you would get more pics, a soft incentive you could say. Some of the pics did have nudes, but again, my AM new that ahead of time and said to give it a try. Unfortunately I did not save this IM conversation as I normally do and now he will probably say otherwise, but still. I don't know if I will get paid or not, they only owe me about $1600 as it stands, I was told to talk to my AM tomorrow. I just wanted to see what you guys think, grounds for deact. w. no pay even though AM said to try it?

First off, the word is deactivated.

Secondly, your bad for not saving the conversation with your AM. Lesson learned. If they value your business, they'll probably try to compromise with you, pay out a portion of your leads, and then give you a warning about your future relationship.

Look, odds are they're deactivating you because your leads don't perform. They probably don't perform because people don't care about whatever you're trying to promote, they're just trying to see some more nips. Pretty much EVERY affiliate network will deactivate you if you constantly send shit leads. This has as much to do with their offer as well - a shitty offer means that traffic just stagnates anyways.

Lesson to learn: Record and backup all conversations with Affiliate Managers, and always have a backup plan in case one network gets shady on you.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for the reply. I normally do save convo's like that, thought I did this time but couldn't find it. Using a different network, a much better one, I've banked a lot of money using almost the same concept, they've never complained and are well aware of what's going on so I think the leads must be ok at best. Most of the offers at CPAEmpire scrub badly as it is, they leave offers up knowing they don't track.. Hopefully I can just get my payment and then never do business with them again.

That's probably exactly what they don't want to hear from you. If you have to negotiate with them, make sure somehow you state that you'll do future business with them.

Even if you only agree to try running them for a few hundred more impressions, they don't want to hear that you're going to cut and run.

Good luck, hope you get your cash.
