Is Vegas REALLY Family-Friendly?

There's a lot to see. Kids will be impressed for a while. They will get very, very bored if you leave them to go gamble or if you take them along while you're shopping.

Since gambling+shopping is 95% of what you can do in Vegas, with the other 5% being having sex, I'd say that it's not a really kid-friendly town.

I have been to Vegas with my daughter who was 4 at the time for a family reunion and we had fun. Theres a museum, the red rock canyon is a short drive, and the lions at mgm at cool too. Hotel pools are a good way to pasttime too.

They won't let you have your kid with you at any casino though, you have to keep walking and stay on the carpet "path" that in themiddle, or the security threaten you:)

Best if you go with other family and leave the kids with them for short periods...but it is doable!

Vegas, like anywhere is what you plan. Hell, it's inappropriate stuff wherever you look for it. The question is would 4 year olds have fun at Vegas? Probably not as much as if you went to Disney or some other place. Being that they are under four it's doubtful they will care no matter where you go. Being with mommy and laughing , giggling, eating sweets and all that is what matters to them at this point. It's quite a few shows for them but shows aren't all day. Shows are night time events mostly. Daytime is time to sleep, shop or eat. At night the freaks do come out but it's not like there aren't crowds of drunk people at disney or any other theme park. Might be less of them but they are there.
