Ok so I know WF has a true international audience a lot of Brits and Aussies -- so demographically speaking there has to be some F1 fans here. WTF is Mark Webber really quicker than Sebastian Vettel?
I mean Webber is showing him his heals right now, but I can't believe MW is really the faster driver... what do you think?
I'm soo confused by what I've seen this season from Red Bull!

I think the only reason he's ahead is because Vettel has had his share of reliability problems while Webber, generally, hasn't. He's also made some mistakes, I think the pressure is finally getting to him - he isn't some 19 year old kid anymore, people are expecting him to win now.

I love F1 btw. It rules, BBC coverage is awesome.

Anyhow

yes, webber is faster, at the moment. Even when he isnt "faster" he's within a few tenths, Also, Webber has far more experience than Vettel (pre-F1 also). Webber is at his Peak no doubt, Vettels peak will come in a year or two i reckon.

Also RBR will definately be served up this season by McLaren, McLaren are unstoppable when they are on form, and they have 2 of the best drivers, I cant see webber or vettel stopping a Hamilton/Button 1-2 at the end of the season

Webber is precise never loses his cool, Vettel is just an arrogant driver.

McLaren at the moment is the pinnacle of British motorsport with the last two (British) World Championship Winners + a great engineering team (f-duct anyone) they really do look unstoppable.

You might be right, he might be overdriving the car because he feels pressure and in essence going slower.

I've heard great things about the BBC coverage especially the Hunt/Walker combination back in the day. Gotta say I never really rated Webber, but he is showing me stuff sorta like Button did last year.

I think its true, McLaren is a much stronger team with proven leadership-- Ron Dennis is a winner. I think Button is better than Webber and Hamilton in is on par with Vettel and probably even Alonso (who IMHO is the best Grand Prix driver at the moment). Served up? Hmmm, maybe.

I never appreciated Webber's tactics on the track the man is a prick to pass -- of course that is open to debate. I appreciate the fact that you want to make it very difficult to be passed but shit it appeared he moved over on Vettel last week and that was that. Arrogant or confident at times in that sport the line does blur, again just my opinion. I've seen in some of Vettel's performances over the past couple of years something a bit special. But certainly right now Webber has the measure of him and I think that is blowing Vettel's mind. I think Vettel is in a place right now that could make or break him. If he can't out qualify Webber it could destroy his confidence and that could live with him forever.

You cannot actually be serious. Even Vettel himself has said that he moved into Webber. Webber held his racing line 100%. He COULD have moved over to let Vettel through, but the facts were:

Webber had been told to lean the engine out to aid fuel consumption
Vettel had not

More to the point, Vettel is a prodigy of Helmut Markos (yet, Dietrich funded) driver-training program. So whenever his wonderkid screws up, he will ALWAYS deflect and say it was <insert teammate name>'s fault.

Vettel is a spoilt arrogant child, last week commenting to sutil in the pits "do your rear view mirrors not work anymore?" after Sutil putting up a good fight to not be overtaken.

Go Webber, the RB6 is a great car and even without the f-duct has proven itself on tight tracks and also wider, more high-speed circuits.

So you know what -- I was wrong and you are right. After looking at some scenes on youtube Vettel FUCKED UP and Webber was totally PURE. Here is the proof... Vettel is on the grass side of the track in this vid

Go Figure...

vettel reminds me schumey when he was younger, the main difference though is vettel doesnt mind talking to the cameras and smiling, something the old schumacher rarely did. On the track though they are quite similar, im just waiting for vettel to play dirty some more
