Not surprising, my dad does auto diagnostics, and he told me that Land Rovers & Alfa Romeo are a nightmare for reliability/build quality. Interestingly he doesn't rate BMW either, seen a lot of very expensive problems with them.

i'd be a little hesitant to pay for any car that costs 70k. I don't need anything fancy just something that gets me from A to B and I am good.

Dude 200 kph = a bit less than 125 mph. Still fast in that thing but its not 160 just sayin
i bought my jaguar stype new in 2003, then bought a new one in 2006. Personally, i would NEVER buy one again. Goodluck though, they are nice cars, just pieces of shit imo.
Seriously? Ever think about importing cars from the US? Probably lots of issues but some serious room for profit..

how can what be? both my jags were new. I sold my 03, but still have my 06 s-type /r. I use it for a daily driver when I dont wanna drive my truck. Its a beautiful car, those new jag's i dont like so much because i liked the front end on the new s-types as opposed to these new ones. As for the problems; my moon roof came off the track about, 4 fucking times. The window regulator is notorious for fucking up and came off 3 times. Maybe it was just that year having as many problems as it did. Hopefully they made the changes.
The jags have an insane suspension system tho, feels like riding on airbags almost.

Unfortunately I think they drive on the left there, but for the sort of money mentioned I could figure it out.
They would have only made that much profit if they imported the Jaguar from the US..where car prices are much cheaper than in Canada.
Previous owner was an 80 year old man who got his license revoked because he was too old to drive, and instead of taking the driver's test again, he sold it back to the dealership.
But you know what - I probably should have imported from the US. Laziness on my part and not wanting to deal with the bullshit at the customs. Also, not having the biggest amount of trust in private sellers on ebay. It was pretty much an "impulse buy" once I had actually found a black coupe that was available in Canada - I had called over 9 Jaguar dealerships (a few in the US too) and there were no black coupes available anywhere.

The latest thing is the damn engine goes into this reduced engine mode bullshit every time I'm cruising at 90mph for more than 10 mins.
