Not a bad deal man. On the down side I'm convinced Costco/Sams Club/Walmart sell inferior electronics. I read somewhere that some of their top brand items (sony etc.) literally have different components.

For future reference you might want to check out Toshiba... you can cut out the middle man and order from them direct. Great prices and they have always been solid work-horse laptops for me.

Considering for the same price as a Peice of SHIT Chromebook, yes.

Considering my friend just bought an Acer with similar specs (aside from processor :p ) from BestBuy for 320$ about a month ago....

Meh maybe electronics got cheaper in Canada somehow, wth do I know.

I've been pricing out a lot of laptops lately for a side project and that's a decent deal. Newegg also has some good $350-$500 ones but its really about what you need it in.

I have that same lappy but with an i5. I use a mac day to day now, but I still run that thing for bots and shit. It's quick.

The battery took a shit on me about 6 months in though, had to order a new one. Was like $60. meh.

I've had an Aspire that I ended up getting at walmart (kind of a last minute thing) for $300 2 years ago and have to say, it is a rugged computer that has held up pretty well. I'm probably going to upgrade soon, but there is a high probability that i will grab another Acer.

ive had some dog ass cheap laptops in my day.

i had about 4 of those mini eee's and dells for a while. Its nice to have in the car as a backup when you travel, throw it in the glovebox.

I also had one on my boat as well. Mostly though, I bought them cause my kids and wife would hound me for their own so I thought for $300 why not, if they brake it at least it wasnt a $3k MacBook Pro.

Out of all 4, only 1 made it past the 2 year mark and thats the one sitting in my car never being used.

I have to agree with the statement on Toshiba's. I have one that still works flawlessly from about 7 years ago running XP. I broke the trackpad and the battery does not charge ( keep it plugged in ) and I actually still use it to run some apps on. I have a 17inch HP that is just horrible and a MacBook Pro 17inch that is just perfect.

I'd stick with well known brands for sure and only purchase the cheap shit if you know what your doing.
