Went out drinking with the CEO and VP of my company.
They are good guys and I felt guilty not giving 110% to their company.
Couldn't keep my mouth shut, went out and did something i've been meaning to do for a few months now.

Hope I made the right decision.

You will have a lot of support here on WF man, gotta take the first step, I might make that decision next year, Good luck

Good - rip the fucking bandaid off. It only hurts for a bit.

Call them in the morning and tell them you have a hobby of ranking websites and you are kind of obsessed with it. Say your sorry and goto work.

Best of luck man. I hope everything works out for you and that you made the right decision. Otherwise, you just have to get use to eating cup of soup for breakfast, peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, and frozen burrito for dinner.

you'll be fine as long as you're consistent. that's the bottom line.. be fucking consistent until you're making good money. no fucking around. work out hard every day, and work hard every day, a solid 6-8 hours. some dickheads around here will tell you to work 12-15 hour days, no, 6 hours of fucking good, solid / quality work is all you need; otherwise you'll get burnt out in the beginning.

the working out bit is to relieve the stress and anxiety you'll naturally receive by being self employed. that's why so many here get fucking panic attacks.. they don't get the stress out any other way.. exercise'll do that for ya.

just my 2c.

Whats ur plan? Unless you can generate income right away , you may have blown it.
I always recommend to start on the side till it gains some traction , and thats when you can back off with
Regular gig . Imho

Great advice.

Great advice.

seriously.. the exercise advice is huge.. i workout at least 4 days a week and i kick my ass.. just today i ran outside 2 miles (in ohio, 50+ degrees but the wind chill was fucking nuts!) and i felt like my heart was going to explode.. not because of anxiety, but honestly i felt like that stress and anxiety was exiting my body.. i'm stressed as fuck being self employed with a wife and a 2 yr old daughter at home, being the sole provider is stressful.. $4k+ in monthly expenses, if i start getting fewer orders or it's a down time (like usually during the holidays), it's stressful..

but at least i have control over how i can handle that stress / anxiety... even though it's hell when i'm working out / running.. it's something i control and it's temporary.. when i know i've kicked my ass and i'm done, afterwards, it's pure relaxation brought on by exhaustion.. it's a great feeling and in a sense.. it helps you remove all of that uncertainty / worry / doubt from your game plan, and help you focus on what you need to do after an hour when you're re-cooping.

amazing man, 4k expense is no fucking joke, I mostly hit the gym 4 days a week lifting heavy weights, it helps out a lot to relieve any stress/tension and worries...and you check out hot babes..

Someone said something like

If you quit your job you have to decide whether you are going to be broke as fuck or rich as fuck.

fuck bitches, get money,

and forget the rest

I quit the corporate rat race 3 years ago.

Best piece of advice...diversify. Don't count on any single thing for more than say, 25% of your income. "Thing" being stuff like:

- Organic Search
- Adsense
- One big website (better off with 4 10k/uniques a month websites than one 40k/month)

well good luck.

Whether you did, or didn't make a good decision, learn from this. This should be the last time you let alcohol make your important decisions for you. I used to have drunken decision, but now when I'm drunk, I remind myself that it's not the time to make any decisions that will affect my life - in my business or personal life.
