Kendrick Lamar "Control" Verse

Skip to around the 3 minute mark.

No matter what bars come at Kendrick, nothing can trump his genius. The man successfully implemented the idea of competition to force people to create better music. I don't care if someone hands down ethered him (Which would never happen), nothing trumps the greater concept behind all of this.

Kendrick went insane on that verse. Amazing stuff on his part.

Yeah, i was going to post that here but i decided not to waste my time.

The only person here that would understand is mGrunin, i thought.

His concept and demonstration was crazy Lol..... Big Sean is the big winner though if everybody uses his beat. Big spins.

but it sucks for him Kendrick Lamar out shined his whole album

Kendrick is incredible and the verse is great, but I really don't see what the fucking hype is about. People love watching and spreading word about competition, so I guess it makes sense, but seeing actual news sites like TMZ ranting and raving about it is mind boggling to me.

lol a California artist disrespected the birthplace of Hip Hop by saying.......... "I'm the King of New York".... he said since they aren't doing it right, he can handle it....

that's disrespectful for any artist..

That's like Mozart telling Bethoven, fall back... my ballads is enough for the world, since you can't play yours right

or maybe....an actor saying.. hey u know what? lets cancel your role.. mine's big enough for both of ours in the movie....

I lack words to describe how little I care about hip hop and particularly the drama involved.

As far as I'm concerned hip hop died with Tupac and Eazy-E.

Tupac is def greatest of all-time hands down

But Kendrick is definitely worth the listen.. VERY MUCH SO...

take a listen to BDKMV

Lamar is incredibly talented but I feel he has tons of other stuff that is far more impressive than this. I feel like the only reason this is getting hype is because of the sheer amount of people he calls out.

Yeah Kendrick's boldness to call out rappers the way he did was genius

It made him look amazing b/c the industry has been SOFT .. SUPER SOFT... everybody is sending subliminals and all that and he had the balls to call it out.....

lol first to do it, gets the prize

Sorry man, I don't feel it in the vid above. Pretty standard rap, can't see what sets it apart.

Kendrick has a lot of talent, but he's definitely overhyped.

Some of his shit is just incoherent.

I liked how he called out the top rappers in the game though...

...Although let's be honest - besides J.Cole, he really doesn't have any competition. The entire mainstream rap game is stagnant.

This might give you a better feel for what Kendrick's all about...
