First of all, how important of a tool is keyword elite in your arsenal?

Here's what I'm wondering. Say I want some long tail mortgage keywords. So I want thousands of words like

bad credit mortgage witchita kansas
bad credit mortgage dallas texas
low interest mortgage phoenix arizona

ect. ect. ect.

Does keyword elite expedite this process? If an affiliate doesn't use keyword elite are they at a severe competitive disadvantage?

And one more question. I read a thread on here about some software that you can use to see what keywords your competitors are bidding on. Anyone know what that's called?

Give me a month and I swear to god I'll start answering the questions around here instead of asking them all the time.

Thanks,

-Scott

It does expedite it but Keyword Elite can be slow as molasses. Just set it for 5,000 keywords before you go to bed or work.

Keyword Elite just pulls data from Overture so you aren't getting any different keywords you can't get from the free Overture tool directly.
<snip>

You sure about it pulling from Overture only?
I'm under the impression it also gets data from Google, Yahoo, Ask.com, meta tags plus Overture. Plus misspelled words. Optional to use Wordtracker and/or Keyword Discovery

When I mean pulling data from Overture, I'm referring to the total search results numbers. Yes, it also pulls some data from Google and Ask (Yahoo owns Overture) but it's all data you can get free anyway.

Sure it can also pull Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery data but KE is so slow if you tried pulling a huge keyword list from all those sources at the same time it would take forever.

Fucking awesome links pocketrockets, thats exactly the type of shit I was looking for, and it's fuckin free.

I can't wait until I can help someone out as much as this forum has helped me. Seriously guys, thanks for the replies.

You guys probably already know about this, but here's my attempt at giving something back to the forum.

onlywire.com (free) submits to arouond 20 social bookmarking sites automatically. Nice way to get some free backlinks and traffic.

May not be that useful to you, but figured I'd throw it out there.

If you want generate a list of long-tail keywords then you could just download the PPC keyword generator for free here-

OverZone Software - PPC Keyword Generator

As far as a keyword competitor tool, you can use http://www.spyfu.com/ for free or use Competitors Keywords and AdWords with KeyCompete | AdWords Search Tool (costs $)

Whoa, nice! Thanks for the links.

Once again, thanks for the awesome links.

One more question, anyone know of any good tools (preferably free) that help separate huge keyword lists into small adgroups?
