KKK trying to "adopt-a-highway" in Georgia

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Georgia Department of Transportation is currently reviewing the May 21 request—filed by International Keystone Knights of the KKK in Union County—to clean up part of Route 515 in the Appalachian Mountains in Blairsville.

In 2000, the KKK successfully adopted part of Interstate 55 south of St. Louis after a federal judge ruled that the Missouri Department of Transportation could not keep the group out of the cleanup program.
The Georgia KKK group said it would file a lawsuit if the state rejects its application.

So the state rips monies away from people with the threat of violence,* and uses some of it to build roads and highways. Then, it encourages the victims of the theft to volunteer to clean it. Worse, the victims/volunteers pay to do it via rent.

lol that's a pretty good scam.

Here's a better idea: since road cleanup is already largely in private hands (wait a second, where are my taxes going again?), let's privatize 'em. I'm guessing a lot of you think it can't be done since it has never been done. You'd be wrong on both counts, but I'm not gonna argue with you about it. Thank god for Bloomberg, because of him chain gangs in NY are safe from big gulp assault. Everyone thought he was just being a dick when in reality he was preventing violent crime.
