Know Anyone That Does Illustrations In The Above Peasant Price Range?

Trying to find someone that does drawings or illustrations... Perhaps even computer generated ones. Real simple, nothing fancy, mostly just like the same ones you'd find in an instruction booklet from Ikea...

Anyway, know anyone or companies that outsource this type of stuff?

I contacted a few people on Dribble, but I'm not trying to spend $200/per each frame when I need 6 of them done per article ($1.2K).. Trying to keep it in the above peasant price range.. Looked at Fiverr, but not having much luck shifting through all the people who want extra $ for me to own the artwork or use it commercially.. At $35/each for some Indian guy's sketch, that's $210/article.

May end up just doing them myself..
 


For one link bait campaign I found a guy who does great animations. We didn't end up pulling the trigger with the guy, but we had it down to the person we were going to hire if the proposal went through (an existing client)

If you want the contact PM me. I seem to remember a price range in the $190-300/comic strip depending on the size and the minimum amount we were willing to go with (it was going to be a weekly comic on a specific industry)
 
I helped someone design a logo this weekend. I did a great job and my turnaround time was fast.

Don't go to freelancing sites at all for illustrations. It's like going shopping with a blindfold.

Go to Sijun, DeviantArt or DrawingBoard and just send a message to people with your offer, saves a lot of time.

Btw. don't use "it takes 5 minutes" routine with anybody. It just makes you sound cheap.
 
Oh and some of the people that frequent those boards used to work on your favorite games
dhabih - worked on some game covers, like half-life
goodbrush - worked on many games and movie concepts

So there you go, you have the exclusive artist that you can hire, something you could brag to your girlfriend about.
