Lag Time on Yahoo Searh Marketing?

Over the past month or so, it seems as if any campaign (CPC, text ads, many niches, no categories that would get flagged) takes quite a while to start running, However all ads and keywords are approved, or for some reason goes through a manual approval process which can take forever. Regular search ads go up just fine.

Is this happening to anyone else, or it this most likely some sort of hold on newly created accounts ?

But no, I haven't launched any new YSM campaigns lately, so I can't actually answer the question.

I wasn't even aware that you could launch a campaign on there, boy I guess I'm really new to all this, how do you do it?

Several months ago when I started on there, everything seemed to get held and it would take fucking 3-4 days to get an ad approved. Now, MOST of the time all ads are automatically approved. Every once and a while they hold one or two (especially if you edit the ad after you create it) and they tend to get approved within 24hrs.

yes, it's taken a while for my Yahoo camps and changes to kick in too. You're not alone.

YSM is really slowing down. The last couple of days were especially slow in reporting clicks and costs. I wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with the recent layoffs.
