I understand that many on this forum may be using direct linking for their campaigns, but that doesn’t appear to be a viable option for the route that I’m pursuing. Bearing that in mind, I would appreciate your insight into what appears to maintain the highest conversion rate:

(1) A landing page that uses a direct pitch to lure a visitor into a sale/registration, or a review page of the affiliate’s product?

(2) A custom design that is considerably different from the affiliate’s design, or one that exactly replicates their creation and alters the text?

I look forward to your opinions, as I’m still within the learning phase at this point. :)

There are too many variables to give even a half assed answer here. The best advice is probably the quote in my sig. Try it yourself. Figure out what works for you.

Try them both, just like the others said. It really just depends on the offer you are promoting and the way you are promoting it. Choose the one that you think makes the most sense and give it a try. If you can't get it to work, try the other method. Or better yet, try them both at the same time!
