Just in case you ever thought that the "housing bubble is a good thing for the economy" prediction could never be outdone by any economist, (especially one with a nobel prize) then behold! I give you an even sillier prediction, by the same moron, no less!

After the failure of his "let's fake an alien invasion to stimulate the economy" advice and even the "Let's print a trillion dollar coin" bullshit, you'd have thought nobody in the press would print his batshit loonietoons anti-advice anymore...

But I guess a igNobel prize is like a free pass to say whatever you want forever and have the press repeat it as if it were intelligent.

Worked for Obomba too.

For Krugman's next suggestion, I think he'll just go with: "We need to nationalize all insurance companies so we can force them to keep selling the old plans."

:uhoh2:

i sincerely hope the government presses every last penny out of people who are unwilling to tell them to suck it

1. My barebones plan survived but went up 30% in price with no new coverage. (At least for now.)

2. If the the ppl willing to tell the gubmint to 'suck it' do so, they still aren't making their pennies immune to pressing.

if you look closely at the pic above, even krugman can barely keep a straight face... he looks roughly 2 seconds from LOL.

We need government to regulate business. So I don't understand why anyone here is complaining about Obamacare. It's just your government taking care of you, the way you have always wanted them to.

Um, so we didn't have enough bitcoin threads, so this one about Krugman was somehow the best candidate for you to start a new bitcoin conversation in?
:fart:

inb4 one of you calls the other poopy-pants.

and the individual insurance market is largely unregulated?

All credibility lost with this 1 statement. For those keeping score, this is what propaganda looks like.

Krugman who?

Keynesians have points now and then, but Krugman's really an idiot all the way around.

For instance, it *is* possible for government spending to stimulate an economy, depending on economic capacity. (I'm ignoring malinvestment... just saying it's possible.) Who wants a dipshit like Krugman making their point for them? Ugh.

What he failed to mention is the rates for everyone's existing insurance likely went up significantly. Ours did.

A lot of parasites got a sweet deal. However, productive people like me got ass-rammed. My policy was canceled and the cheapest alternative is 77% higher. I don't want any more fucking coverage. I want the plan I had. I will be letting my plan lapse in January. I will do my part to sink this ship of fools.

Charles, I have no idea why you retain your US citizenship. You're too smart for that shit.

If this is a serious post, you're wrong on both counts as long as you are relatively low key.

Move to Singapore or HK. Obtain residency there, obtain permanent residency, and then naturalize as a citizen there. It's as simple as that. You just need to grow a pair and do it instead of making excuses.

Alternatively you can also buy a citizenship via investment from Nevis or the Dominican Commonwealth.

Yes.

There are all sorts of solutions for all sorts of problems, but if someone starts with a "can't do" attitude, nothing good will happen.

Can't is the cancer of happen.
