So I've been working on this project since last night and somehow I ended up on a channel running nothing but Law & Order reruns hour after after hour after hour. I'm not exactly watching the TV, it's just on in the background. I've seen the show before but I guess seeing them all one after another made me notice something peculiar.

The show takes place in NYC, yet every single criminal is white. They almost threw me for a loop after about the 8th one when they arrested a black guy for a murder in the projects, but it turns out they were just tricking me and he was actually framed by a white guy.

It got to be so obvious that I ended up Googling that shit and found out I'm late to the party (cuz I don't watch this shit I guess). Anyway, not mad just lollercoptering myself to death and wondering If anyone else had already noticed it. 10am - I needs some sleep.

I think the shows been around for decades so if it held true during all that time it would be amazing..

We got started watching Law & Order on Netflix about a year and a half ago. We've watched every episode from season 1 through season 8. It's kinda fun to watch the show progress from its infancy in the 80s to present. (we're in the 90s right now) There are plenty minority criminals that get arrested and convicted. Not to mention legions of side characters who promote some of the worst racial stereotypes ever conceived.

However, I can confirm, the majority of the actual people who get convicted are white. If I had to put a number on it Id' say about 60% to 70% of the criminals have been white so far.

I'd say 90% of the criminals are white, I've seen a few arabs/blacks who were the bad guys but it's not that often.

True story : I have a very rare last name (It's German). During one law episode one of the big bad evil criminals had my last name.

I was surprised as this was the ONLY time I had ever heard my last name mentioned on TV. So I got online and googled law & order + my last name. Ends up, I have a distant cousin in California who is a big conservative writer for Breitbart. Ends up, that law & order episode named all the criminals/bad guys after writers for Breitbart.

NBC/Universal is run by thugs and every single show has a political agenda.

I would think the show would have to have White criminals since the characters in the plots are primarily White. Watch the Wire on DVD then you'll see Black criminals.

I was talking about this last night actually. They lay the propaganda on really thick on every show they air, so no surprise that this show demonizes white people.

A lot of minorities get arrested for non-violent crimes like working illegally, or selling drugs, or using/holding drugs.

You can't show that on TV because then people aren't be propagandized about the legal system anymore, but you're demonstrating the fundamental inequities in the system of "justice".

Most violent crime is interracial, so how about the race of the victims, witnesses and such? What about gender? I'd guess that at least 50% of tv homicide victims are female, whereas in real life it is around 25%.

The tv victims are usually portrayed as super innocent, whereas in real life those types are much less likely to end up having violence done to them. If statistical realism was the main goal, then the overall show would become much more minority themed, much of which would be about angry young male minorities killing other angry young male minorities, which probably isn't the best tv ratings strategy for a network show.

COPS has been on Fox for almost 25 years.

Whenever I see a clip of a person being mauled by a large animal, I'm disturbed by how entertaining I find it. I suspect I would have been a season ticket holder at the Colosseum in Ancient Rome.

Edit: I just fucking knew this was in Eastern Europe. Where else would they keep bears chains up on a leash in their back garden? What's wrong with a rottweiler ffs?
