I have Verizon and need to get a new phone over the weekend. Does anyone use the LG Voyager VX 10000 or BB Pearl 8130?

Any thoughts on which is better for phone calls and email?

If you have a different Verizon phone that's good let me know too. I prefer PDA's. Thanks.

CrackBerrys RULE

I have a BB Pearl 8100, which looks like it just the ATT version of the Pearl because it doesn't look like the 8130 is any different except that it seems to be for Verizon.

But anyways, I freaking love my pearl - err I mean crack berry. It's a pretty sweet phone. The keyboard is set up more like a regular computer keyboard which makes texting a lot easier when you get the hang of it. Make sure to get an sd card and your good to go.

Battery life if you don't change any options is like 4 days with a bit of use, but if you tweak the settings - like backlight time - I'm getting an easy 5 days.

Don't even consider the Voyager. It's a POS that shouldn't have been released in it's current state. Wait a generation or two.

You have to go with the Pearl. I just got my 8130 and it's great. I used to be on Windows Mobile and it's such a refreshing change. Everything just works the way it's supposed to, and it's more elegant to use also. Easy to hook up to my IMAP server and the Gmail app is really cool too.

The only single one complaint I have is that it can be hard to type - the keys are TINY but it's doable because the phone is real thin and slick. Highly recommended.

8130 is a newer version of the Pearl. It has a better camera, video recording, GPS or wifi depending on the carrier, external access to the sd card slot, and a couple other differences.

I use a 8100 Pearl on T-Mobile and have been very happy with it so far. I thought that I would miss the full keyboard of my 8700 when I switched to the Pearl, but after adjusting to SureType I really don't miss it much.
