Amtrak is launching wireless internet service on its Acela Express trains starting in March.

Course would be nice if it was on most of their trains, cuz I wouldn't mind taking a 3-4 hour train ride from say GR to Chicago and back if it means I can get some work done on the train itself, especially with airports even over short distances making it hard to even take your laptop out at any given time, not to mention all the packing, security, etc hassles, where as the train, you can just sit down and get setup immediately.

Fuck most airports and the charging for wireless. KisMAC to bypass most security makes things nice though.

Airplanes already have that long time ago, what they really need to do is lower the price of the ticket and have more train stations near my house, but that's impossible for them to do.
