I am looking to get some experience people's thoughts on Link Wheels. I know a while back they were great but once G caught on to the method the credibility of them diminished. I am looking for some thoughts on Link Wheels today and if you think they are worth a shit.

I probably will stay away from completely closing the loop on a Link Wheel but I know there has been talk on other forums about various versions of other Link Wheels using Hub and Spoke type architecture.

Right now I am using what I call a layered "push" architecture...

1)
I backlink semi-quality links (blogs, articles, etc.) to my money site using LFE (Link Farm Evolution) and ScrapeBox (BlogEngines).

2)
I then backlink my semi-quality links with shittier links using xrumer - this gets the semi-quality links indexed and I won't get my money site sandboxed.

By doing the above I have been very successful getting to where I want to be in the SERPs. As with any SEO process it's day in and day out and isn't instant gratification. It's a simple approach to things and I don't worry about PR rating at all - I think only going for high PR is a waste of time, but maybe someone can convince me otherwise.

I would be interested in any Link Wheel diagrams if anybody has anything to share that has "actually" worked for them. I have been looking at the following LinkWheel below and thinking about hammering it out. The only thing I don't like about the Link Wheel below is the purple properties pointing to the money site - I wouldn't do that.

They're not dead, just a bit less powerful than they used to be.

You could dominate page 1 with this shit before, not anymore.

Nowadays people just use them as buffer for BH shit.
Your layered push architecture is good.

Out of curiosity, what would constitute a "property" in the above diagram?

Please advise.

Well given the diagram above... What "I" would do for the purple properties listed in the diagram is probably take xrumer and blast the living shit out of Squidoo's and I would do this in sheer volume. The reason I would do it this way is because you can backlink a squidoo aggressively and not run into as many problems like you would if you aggressively backlinked a normal/newer domain.

But in all actuality you could have the purple properties be anything you want. Since they are further out of the linkwheel I personally would aim for quantity over quality. You really have nothing to lose because even if you do hammer it too aggressively you are still far out from damaging/hurting your money site.

But the only thing I don't like in the diagram is the purple properties are pointing to the money site. I wouldn't do that.

Your diagram looks legit - I do pretty much the same thing.

They are still useful just not as amazing as they used to be.

Link wheels are still effective, but you should not just use them. A domain which receive nothing but linkwheels is going to take a little longer to rank versus having additional link building strategies, like the Drip Feed Blast, blog commenting, articles, etc. All this combined helps. I have a site which has some good rankings, and got a 25 property linkwheel built for it, and not it jumped in rankings to top 3 for several keywords in a very competitive niche. This site has tons of backlinks, fresh new articles a day, etc. The linkwheels help me over the top. Your strategy looks good to me from the diagram I saw.

Linkwheels will die, when Google stops counting links as the main factor in their algo. That's why blog commenting, forum commenting, forum profiles, etc, and general spam still works to rank sites...

CCarter - Explain the "Drip Feed Blast." Never heard of it but I am interested in finding out what it is.

I agree with you in the respect you should hit link building at all angles; articles, profiles, and blogs. I don't do directories because I am not too convinced G likes those - they just seem like a bottom of the barrel type deal if you ask me.

When I started hitting it hard with LFE I noticed my ranks go way up for very competitive keywords. I am basically posting 200-300 blogs/day (750 word count or better) on a huge amount of different blog sites. Once they index you get some quality juice to the keywords.

I am going to work on putting this LinkWheel to work. :)

Brian,

Since you put some nice boobs down, I'll answer what the others are ignoring... But just this once though! -You asked a supernewb question.

Any search for "Drip Feed Blasts" here on this forum will lead to a service that one of our most esteemed members offers and most of us are paying him between $47 and $97 a month for. It's goooood.

Interesting... I just checked out his thread. Looks like he came up with a nice way to control xrumer blasts day in and day out for multiple users - impressive! I basically do the same thing but I just let xrumer run 24/7 hitting my layer 2 links. I get about 4,000 links a day out of it. Works great!

I need to visit this forum more... Seems like you guys have some useful information on here.
