Linking to Fulfillment Centers?

Hey I'm trying to put together a system that will allow me to take orders all day and then do a batch upload every night to a fulfillment center. Generally these fulfillment centers want the data uploaded in their specific format to their FTP server.

Surely lots of people do something like this so I'm wondering if there is a solution out there already available or how I should go about putting this together.

You can do it with a shell script and common unix/linux tools.

You either kick off End of day processing manually -- of have it scheduled to run at a specific time.
