LinkShare Linking Question

I have a question for all you LinkShare vets...When you go to get your aff links, they make it a point to say that the code has to be used EXACTLY the way they have it. Does this mean that using an url-shortening site i.e. tinyurls is out of the question? Also, how strict are they with their impression pixel usage?

I doubt they would care about URL shortening because the destination URL is still the same as the one they gave you to use. Tinyurl is nothing but a url forward/redirect.

Anyone know about the impression pixel? I hate messing with impression pixels when I use text links.

Who knows? They might question you. Linkshare is a different sort of animal. I see them as more of a glorified banner exchange for online merchants of goods than a CPA network. I have tried to do dynamic linking with some of the advertisers and some of them just don't get it. "Why, don't you like our pretty banners?" they say...

No, they won't. Nobody pays attention to CTR in the affiliate world. If you have an abnormally high conversion rate, they might. CTR, hell no.
