Linode fucking up ?

Last time this happened, someone was going after one of the bitcoin wallet services that were hosted on a linode.

apparently the idiots encrypted the CC's, but stored the public and private keys in the same directory on the same server. Not exactly too challenging.

The private key file, not the private key. The private key was still encrypted with a passphrase.

If the passphrase were only entered manually on system boot for the billing machine, this could still be perfectly safe.
