Live E3 Microsoft XBOX Conference..



Seems pretty boring to me so far. They are basically copying everything the Nintendo Wii did a few years ago...who cares....

I would much rather see them releasing 3d games with glasses like the movies and some TVs are starting to come out with.

They also announced a smaller Xbox 360 that is black and comes with wifi and 250 gb hd.

Just picked up a xbox elite spring last week for $250, might have to return it now. I like the smaller form factor and built in power supply.

Nintendo has said explicitly that they won't be going into more adult-style games. The Wii has so much potential, but Nintendo doesn't care to explore options like using their technology to make actual swords, guns, body armor, gloves, etc. So, their games won't be as immersible as they should be.

If the Kinect can bring an actual sword game or fighting game to life via a sword-style controller, a belt, wrist bracelets, ankle bracelets, etc. that capture your body's movement - then the Xbox will put the Wii out of business.

Everyone would much rather punch something or slash something than move a controller while also moving a joystick. Nintendo had plenty of time to capitalize on their opportunity and patents, but they didn't.

I'll be interested in seeing where this goes.
